The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s. It uses a timer to break work into focused intervals, traditionally 25 minutes, separated by short breaks.
Each interval is known as a "pomodoro," named after the tomato-shaped kitchen timer Cirillo used as a university student. The technique helps improve focus, reduce mental fatigue, and maintain productivity throughout the day.
How it works: Work for 25 minutes → Take a 5-minute break → Repeat. After 4 pomodoros, take a longer 15-30 minute break.
